TOO MUCH AND NEVER ENOUGH
This is my review of the book written by Mary L. Trump, the
president's only niece. She is a clinical psychologist. The subtitle of her
new book is "How My Family Created The World's Most Dangerous Man."
I took this from the cover: "A first-hand witness to countless
holidays and family interactions, Mary brings an incisive wit to and
unexpected humor to sometimes grim, often confounding events
Fred, Donald's oldest brother, unable to regulate, was the
immediate victim of their father's disappointment and anger,
According to the author, Donald is much as he was at age three:
incapable of growing, learning or evolving, unable to regulate his emotions,
moderate his responses or take in and synthesize information.
I hadn't read any advertising flack nor heard anything about it
on radio or TV, so I didn't know what to expect in a book written by Mary L.
Trump Ph.D. I found her to be an insightful psychologist, and I might
add, a writer who can tell a yarn that is at times amusing, but most often
frightening.
(Really, when one considers the subject matter!)
Often compelling, for me the book was full of surprises and
hard to put down. The core reads like a script written for a soap
opera that has a few million extras, including you and me, waiting
off-camera for brief walk-on parts.
This book indeed explains many of the reasons why Dr. Trump
named our president "The World's Most Dangerous Man."
