WE ARE LOSING THE FIGHT AGAINST THE VIRUS

Projected Arizona Hospitalizations
This from Admiral Brett Giroir, Assistant Secretary for Health:  "We must take the fight more seriously during super-spreader seasons".

This wasn't the only admonition from the talking heads on TV News and talk shows.  The number of Americans hospitalized by the pandemic will have surpassed 90,000 by the time you read this.

Scratch this number on a restroom wall: 100,000.

Follow the best advice to keep from being among those included in that number, while at the same time, protecting others.  WEAR A MASK and avoid others who are unwilling to follow suit.  Avoid crowds.  Insist on maintaining a "social distance" of eight feet.

Compassion Fatigue
Here are two other factors that make this latest surge of the pandemic truly frightening:  The number of persons in intensive care units is increasing exponentially.  Hospitals such as those in El Paso are continually shopping for hospitals willing and able to care for the critically ill with the coronavirus to whom the El Paso hospitals can transport by air.

Add this unavoidable factor:  fatigue by care-givers.

It's no wonder that some hospitals keep raising the ante' and benefits for qualified talent.
